Alisa brings more than 20 years of experience in education, as both a classroom teacher and administrator, to her work as a coach and advocate for transformative school culture. She partners with educators and school leaders to deepen their understanding of trauma and chronic stress and channels her passion for social-emotional learning and mental health awareness into supporting the families who shape students’ lives at home.
Alisa is a Certified Trauma & Resilience Specialist, the author of “How to Implement Professional Learning Communities the Right Way,†and a nationally-recognized public speaker. When she’s not speaking or writing, she can be found at home with her husband, three children, and a lively menagerie of animals, and is currently at work on her second book.
